Advanced
Nitrox diver program is designed to extend the
divers knowledge in the use of EANx for Sport
diving. It further develops diving skills and provides
a greater understanding of the EANx concept of diving.
The program employs EANx mixes from 21% to a maximum
of 50% oxygen for decompression.
Prerequisites:
Must be min.
a Rescue Diver
Nitrox diver.
Deep diver.
Minimum of 18 years of age.
50 logged dives of which at least 10 dives were
between 27 msw and 39 msw, plus completion of pool
/ shallow OW skills in the IANTD Deep Diver Program,
and completion of the IANTD Deep Diver written exam
with a minimum score of 80%.
Minimum 15 logged Nitrox dives.
Equipment required: Scuba tank min. 15l with two
outlets OXY clean, stage or pony tank 5-10l OXY
clean, min. 2 regulators, lift bag, reel etc. You
can get the whole list from your instructor.
Duration
and steps of the course:
8 hours of classroom
Theoretical test
Practical test
Stamina test at the swimming pool and in open water
Up to 4 open water dives, of which 2 to a depth
of 39m not exceeding decompression time of 10 minutes.
Qualification
of graduates:
To dive to a depth of 39m using Nitrox mixes up
to 40% of oxygen, decompressing on 50% nitrox.
This course is a prerequisite for the Normoxic Trimix
course.
